1m2 Berbertapijt Ontwerpwedstrijd:
Ben je creatief en tussen de 10 en 21 jaar? Stuur dan je droom tapijtontwerp in en win €100! Naar aanleiding van Mina’s tentoonstelling ‘Verknoopte Verhalen’ in samenwerking met Bureau Postjesweg hebben we een speciale wedstrijd georganiseerd voor jongeren tussen de 10 en 21 jaar. Met de wedstrijd dagen we je uit om (op papier) je eigen tapijt te ontwerpen en in te sturen.
Er worden vier ontwerpen uitgekozen, en elke winnaar ontvangt € 100,-. Ook worden de ontwerpen daadwerkelijk geknoopt in Marokko door de Amazigh vrouwen. Deze tapijten worden weer toegevoegd aan de volgende tentoonstelling van Mina Abouzahra.

Voorwaarden:
- Je bent tussen de 10 en 21 jaar.
- De afmeting is 1 x 1 meter.
- Het ontwerp mag digitaal, maar mag ook met de hand gemaakt zijn. Aangeleverd in jpg of pdf formaat.
- Je naam, leeftijd en woonplaats
- Een korte motivatie of uitleg*

Workshop
Ter voorbereiding op deze wedstrijd vindt er ook nog workshopmiddag plaats op 20 april voor geïnteresseerde jongeren. Tijdens deze middag laat kunsthistorica en docent Anissa Foukalneniet alleen zien hoe een Berbertapijt gemaakt wordt maar ook hoe je er zelf een ontwerpt. Ze vertelt waar je op moet letten, hoe je een verhaal vertelt met je ontwerp en deelt tips en trucs om je ontwerp nog beter te maken. Dit op basis van de expo van Mina en een film over tapijtweefsters in Marokko. Vervolgens gaan we naar de OBA waar je zelf aan de slag mag met je eigen ontwerp.*

1m2 Berber Rug Design Contest
Are you a creative and between 10 - 21 years? Send in your dream carpet design and win €100! As a result of Mina’s exhibition ‘Knotted tales’ organised together with Bureau Postjesweg, Mina initiated a competition for youngsters between 10 and 21 years old. With the competition we challenge you to design your own rug (on paper).
4 Winning designs will be chosen and each winner will receive €100,-. The designs will be hand knotted in Morocco by the Amazigh women and exhibited in the future. Our goal is to connect the project to more creative youngsters.

Workshop
On the 20th of April, Bureau Postjesweg (curated by Iris Dik), OBA (curator educator Anissa Foukalne) and Mina Abouzahra will also organize a workshop on how you design a Berber rug. We will discuss the things that you need to take in account and share our tips and tricks for a good design. The workshop will be based on the exhibition which is currently held at Bureau Postjesweg and on Mina’s documentary about the female weavers in Morocco. After the discussion we will head to OBA where we will design our own rugs.*
